The Beginning
The chapter started after a couple of visits that began in the summer of 2005, by a team fromNigeriathat included at various times, Brothers Sam Kputu, Amos Aderonmu, Pade Tokun, Okon Esin and Niyi Gbade.
The purpose of the visits was to mobilize Christians and Churches to become involved in the fulfilment of Jesus´ command in the Gospel of Matthew 28:18-20 “… Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you …”
A few people began meeting in the home of the Sodipos in the winter of 2005, and as the Lord added to them, the venue became another home in the central part of Manchester, where the chapter still meets on the first Saturday of every month.
Activities
The focus of the Chapter meetings has been prayers for missions and missionaries. This is done during chapter meetings and at other times as specific or urgent prayer need arises. The CAPRO Praise and Prayer Calendar (PPC) provides much information, but regular updates and prayer requests from the UK CAPRO office, other chapters and the mission fields enhance our prayer times.

The Chapter has adopted a field in the Maghreb for prayer and financial support. Plans are under way to visit, encourage and support mission workers in their fields of work.
The chapter organises monthly Breakfast meetings in Manchester. Christians are invited from Churches within the city and presented with the burden of cross-cultural missions including what God is doing through CAPRO. The Chapter trust God to open doors to Churches and Christian events to create awareness about the task of reaching people groups yet unreached with the gospel.
The Lord has not only added to our numbers here in Manchester, but he has also enabled us to start a new Chapter in Liverpool through the efforts of a couple from the Manchester chapter. The Chapter has also `given birth´ to a prayer cell in another part of Manchester.
Future Plans
The chapter hopes to become more involved in mobilizing other Christians to join in the effort to gather the harvest in with our Lord in these end times.
